Glycol Solution Analysis

Hydronic systems containing glycol solutions should be monitored on an annual basis, at a minimum, for freeze protection, stability and corrosion protection. Water treatment vendors often overlook glycol systems, particularly systems associated with diesel generator sets and other critical cooling systems. Simply testing for freeze protection is insufficient. Glycol solutions typically contain corrosion inhibitors and pH buffers that are critical for the protection of hydronic systems. Ambient provides a thorough glycol analysis to evaluate the condition of the solution and obtain telltale information about the condition of the system metallurgy.
